Sample Information
We recommend ordering a sample before purchasing a full order to review the marble's color, veining, texture, honed finish, and fluted surface.
Samples allow you to evaluate the stone under your project's lighting conditions. However, because marble is a natural material, a single sample cannot represent every variation that may occur throughout an order.
Important Information
Bianco Mare Marble is a natural stone product. Variations in color, shade, veining, markings, texture, and other natural characteristics are expected from piece to piece.
These variations are inherent to genuine marble and contribute to the distinctive appearance of each installation.
The fluted surface creates dimensional texture, and its appearance may vary depending on lighting conditions and viewing angles.
Natural marble should be properly installed, sealed, and maintained using products suitable for natural stone. Avoid acidic or abrasive cleaning products that may damage the surface.
Samples and product images are representations only and cannot display the complete range of natural variation that may occur throughout an order.
Suitability for shower walls, wet areas, and other specialized applications should be confirmed before installation.

Sealing
Marble is a natural stone that should be sealed before grouting and periodically throughout its lifetime to help protect against moisture and staining. Apply a premium penetrating stone sealer to the surface and grout joints during installation. In kitchens, bathrooms, showers, and other areas exposed to water, reseal the stone every 12 to 18 months or as needed. Regular maintenance helps preserve the marble's natural beauty and finish.
Cleaning
Clean marble with a pH-neutral cleaner specifically formulated for natural stone. Avoid acidic or abrasive products, including vinegar, citrus-based cleaners, bleach, ammonia, and harsh household chemicals, as they can permanently etch or dull the surface. Use a soft cloth or microfiber mop for routine cleaning, and wipe up spills promptly to help minimize the risk of staining.
Installation
For optimal results, install marble using a white polymer-modified thinset mortar, particularly when working with lighter-colored stone, to prevent any discoloration from the setting material. Back-butter each tile while applying mortar to the substrate to ensure full coverage and reduce lippage. Select the appropriate grout joint for the tile size and finish, and blend material from multiple boxes before installation to achieve a balanced and natural appearance.
Important Information
Inspect all material before installation. Marble is a genuine natural stone, and variations in color, veining, movement, texture, and shade are normal characteristics that make each piece unique. These natural variations should not be considered defects. We recommend ordering at least 10% additional material to allow for cuts, installation waste, and future repairs. Once the material has been installed, it is considered accepted. If you have any questions before placing your order or beginning your project, the Mosaic Bros team is happy to assist.
